"The design of Acre Studio’s Blairgowrie swimming pool demonstrates beautifully how restraint, an innovative materials palette and a strong connection to both the site and the surrounding landscape can create stunning design outcomes that are balanced, considered and thoroughly on brief. 

Brave decisions to activate the entire site by moving the pool away from the house, gives the clients reason to occupy their garden and enjoy the whole site rather than feel contained to the top of the dune. Add to this a very steeply sloped and sandy site which curbed design decisions and required some clever problem-solving, this swimming pool is a success on all levels."
