Recipient: Robert Boyle

"Robert completed a Diploma of Horticultural Science at Burnely Horticultural College in 1970, and beganimmediately designing and building gardens, under hi sown banner of Robert Boyle Landscape Design & Construction.

Over the past 47 years, as a passionate gardener with a strong spiritual connection, he has created gardens for people from every walk of life and from every part of the Australian community: For Robert, every site and person presents new and exciting challenges, allowing him to create beautiful and functional landscapes for people to live in, to work in, to rest in, and in which to be inspired and refreshed. 

A number of these gardens are regularly included in the Australian Open Garden Scheme, as well as having been recognised with Landscaping Victoria Awards.

Robert has also been an integral part of developing and building an orphanage and school in Malawi, Africa, where over 400 young people can be educated, and the arid surrounds are now abundant with fruit and vegetables for the children and local families.

Robert has been, and continues to be, an integral part of the horticultural and landscaping industry within Victoria, and is always happy to share his knowledge and his passion to develop skills and passion for horticulture with the next generation of landscapers and horticulturists."
