"Sustainability is such a broad and inclusive concept - the environmental impacts are one aspect but there are also social and economic factors to consider, which make a garden truly sustainable. Sustainability needs to measure both the direct and indirect impacts - those purely associated with the site and those which can be measured as having impacts away from the site. It also needs to consider inputs such as fossil fuel, embodied energy and water, and destruction to site soil; as well as outputs, cleaner air and water, improved habitat creation and the whole life cycle such as old equipment. Timandra Design & Landscaping presented a well-designed bush garden, which is sustainable in all aspects."
