Recipient: Ken Connor

"A Civil Engineer by trade, Ken’s early background with landscaping was through civil construction. A business partner of Bruce Grogan for some 40 years, Ken and Bruce started Streamtech in 1993 and built golf courses, wetlands and environmental landscapes for Greenfield projects around Melbourne. Together Ken and Bruce bought Anston Paving in 2000 and Ken has been able to assist the many architects and designers who come to them for custom jobs with the technical expertise to engineer special shapes, reinforcing, and spans for specialised architectural features and special projects. Anston have been involved in MIFGS for over 10 years, with the stakes getting higher every year as bigger and bolder designs requiring Ken’s expertise are executed, resulting in a swag of Gold medals for the designers involved. Always having had a passion for Landscaping and Gardening, Ken has been a member of Landscaping Victoria for almost 15 years and served on the Board as Treasurer for 3 years in the early 2,000’s. Ken has enjoyed seeing the development of the Landscape profession and Landscaping Victoria during his time in the industry."
